Gazheek Morrisseau - Sinclair

Passionate about acknowledging the contributions of Indigenous knowledge, frameworks, wisdom, and leadership that is present in our everyday lives today.

Gazhegwanabeek (Gazheek) Morrisseau-Sinclair is Anishinaabekwe from Treaty 1.  Gazheek holds a degree from Dalhousie University in Informatics and a computer analyst programmer diploma from Red River College. Gazheek has 12+ years working in the tech industry and now considers herself to be a recovering Full Stack Developer. 

Sports shaped Gazheek’s childhood and teenage years, and as an adult transformed into opportunities to play and coach hockey and softball at all levels across the country. In her spare time, Gazheek attends powwows across turtle island where she dances men’s woodland and works on a language revitalization project called Ishkodens, an online Anishinaabemowin dictionary for the Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba dialect.
